Grand Island Little League

Welcome to Northwest Little League for the 2018 season! To some of you, this is new and for others this is a continuing tradition. You, as volunteers, are an important reason as to why this program has been successful. This year, we have over 500 youth playing on 50 teams through the league. This takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work and coordination, so if you could today or during the season say a special thanks to our many board members. Let’s make this season fun and memorable for all our kids learning baseball and softball.

Our Mission Statement

“To promote, develop, supervise and voluntarily assist in all lawful way, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball and Softball.”

Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball and Softball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.

Our Charge to Coaches

To teach all children to play fair and do their best; to positively support all managers, coaches and players; to respect the decision of the umpires; to praise good effort despite the outcome of the game. This is a recreational league! Please do your best to encourage players, help them improve and love the game and want to come back and play with us next year.
